Be much more than I have imagined
Much more than I could ever conceive
Be more holy than my concept of holiness
Be more lovely than my notion of loveliness
Be better than all I have fathomed of goodness
When I get to glory, be much more than the shadows,
The types, the symbols, the earthly
I long for the transfigured Lord
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. - 1 Corinthians 15:10

45 And Still Alive
45 and still alive
How quickly did this age arrive
Down the hill I swiftly drive
Both joy and sorrow I derive
Rhymes for you I now contrive
For humor on this big day strive
But far from me to e'er deprive
My little ones some evening jive
So headlong in my folly dive
And recognize the fact that I've
Great prosody on which I thrive
That weary souls might I revive
Yes, 45 and still alive
How quickly did this age arrive
But matters not, for Christ's alive
And shall I evermore survive
How quickly did this age arrive
Down the hill I swiftly drive
Both joy and sorrow I derive
Rhymes for you I now contrive
For humor on this big day strive
But far from me to e'er deprive
My little ones some evening jive
So headlong in my folly dive
And recognize the fact that I've
Great prosody on which I thrive
That weary souls might I revive
Yes, 45 and still alive
How quickly did this age arrive
But matters not, for Christ's alive
And shall I evermore survive
